A Neverwinter Nights 2 Review

To get you a bit more up to date regarding Neverwinter Nights 2, I suggest you read and watch this post carefully.
First of all Gamespot came with two great reviews, click here and here to read them. Second amazing thing I found on Gamespot was an interview with the developer of Neverwinter Nights 2, Feargus Urquhart - which I mentioned in a previous post.

In comparement to the original Neverwinter Nights, Obsidian Entertainment is the developer of Neverwinter Nights 2. Bioware tough, is obviously involved, since the game will be using the Aurora Engine that made the graphics of Neverwinter Nights. Bioware will help Obsidian Entertainment as well by supporting them in technical and design issues. The Canadian developers think Neverwinter Nights 2 will partly be a project of Bioware and want nothing else than this game to be a complete succes.
Just like its predecessor, Neverwinter Nights 2 will be using an edited version of the Dungeon & Dragon rules. This means we're in for a lot of different possibilities to design your own character into the fines perfection! According to the developers we can expect more options than Neverwinter Nights 1 offered us to create your own characters.
The story shall once again take place around the city of Neverwinter, though its plot has nothing to do with the original one from Neverwinter Nights. Although we might just walk into a couple known faces! You might encounter different kind of characters along your way who are willing to help you out and even stay with you out throughout the rest of your adventure. The amount of henchmen you can bring has increased to three and they have all got a more interesting background for you to delve into!
A big deal of Neverwinter Nights' succes was due to the important role given to the community. Neverwinter Nights contained a huge and extensive toolset which made it possible for the players to build their own modules. It was, and still is, one big hit! According to Obsidian Entertainment we can expect a brand new toolset which will easy in use for the build-newbies among us.
Although there hasn't been any (video)preview released, Neverwinter Nights 2 will surely use the succesful formula of it's original: Neverwinter Nights. Bad news is, we will have to wait for its release til july this year. If I know more about the release date, I will let you know.
